Welcome to the Heart and Stroke Information Point

The Heart & Stroke Information Point works with patients, carers and health professionals in Tayside to provide a high quality, user-friendly health information website. In particular, we provide information for people who have been affected by heart disease and/or stroke conditions.

You may be:

• a patient, carer or family member looking for information on heart disease and/or stroke conditions
• a healthcare professional looking to provide information to a patient or carer
• a member of the public wanting to find information about healthy living and how to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke

The project to develop the Heart & Stroke Information Point has been funded by The Big Lottery Fund and the work is being carried out by NHS Tayside in conjunction with the University of Dundee. Patient and carer support groups throughout Tayside also play a key role in the project by providing us with valuable input and guidance into how the website should be developed. We also work closely with Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) and the information on the website has been adapted from CHSS leaflets.

The website is split into sections for heart disease, stroke and information for carers. To find the information you want, visit these sections using the links provided. Alternatively, you enter a search term such as heart disease or stroke in the search system.
